Default Best Bass Fishin Lakes for Retirement

We are traveling to TX and AR to look at Lake Fork and the Hot Springs Village area. Problem with Lake Fork is it seems to lack the amenities I need to keep my wife and me happy outside of fishing. Hot Springs Village has all the amenities, but seems to lack the lake except that Ouachita is close by. Anybody got any better suggestions where I might find both?

Every year you post the same thing. Its the only question you ever ask, or comement on.We could just bump your old post back to the top every year for you to save you the trouble ? Get in the motor home and haul @ss to Upstate NY.There is so many weird looking hillbillies here, your wife will lock herself in the motorhome while your out fishing. It will save you a whole lot of extra money instead of her being out shopping. Unhappy Sorry I Offended You

Sorry I offended one of you by asking about retirement lakes, but you know it is a once in a life time decision.

By the way I strayed from bass fishing and went to Canada last week of May with my 2 sons to Lac Seul. We caught 250 pike (my youngest son caught a 41.5 incher (20 pounds), 150 walleye and 30 Small Mouth Bass. The smallie population on Lac Seul seems to be exploding. I caught a 19 inch smallie and we caught several 17's. They were all caught incidental to fishing for pike and walleye, so imagine if we really focused on them.

Don't mind me, I was just busting on your lack of posting is all. There's no need to apologize,I am not easily offended. It sounds like you guys had a great trip.I like catching big pike, or musky, but I really like catching wallleye as well. I don't have to travel to go fishing for them,They're all right here in my lakes. You very well might have caught more bass fishing for them, but I seriously doubt it.If you were catching walleye and pike, you were fishing in the right areas for bass as well.Who knows what size of walleye , or pike you might have caught , if you were fishing for bass ? If you are interested in AR try Bella Vista. It is a retirement community of sorts. It has I believe 7 lakes and then Beaver Lake (biggest in Northwest Arkansas) is only about 30-45 minutes away. Bella Vista also has a bunch of golf courses and other stuff like that. It located just north of Bentonville (home of wal-mart and absolutely growing like mad) Grand lake, Spavinaw (in OK) and tablerock are all fairly close as well. Hope this helps
