Default Thanks to 30lbs power pro I have a new personal record!

Caught a 12-14 foot gator tonight! Talk about a battle, had her hooked up for a good 30-45 minutes, I don't know who is more worn out, me or my boat from being dragged around like a rubber ducky. Wasn't no way in hell I was gonna cut my line, had a new Bronzeye Frog tied on the other end. POWER PRO ROCKS!

I tell people all the time even Zook pushes the stuff and I'll say it again for those who don't know me-----.......

YOU CAN PULL JIMMY HOFFA OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE WITH POWER PRO.

They should make that their slogan and give me money for it!

lol, thats funny. there was one point where he was pulling me, I put the anchor down and started cranking on the reel, managed to TURN the gator around and pulling him towards me. I COULD NOT break the line, I was trying, it wasn't happening. I saw some 200lbs Power Pro, 200, not 20. Thought about buying a spool of that to use as a tow strap for the jeep, or maybe even a new winchline, lol.

Zook had an old girlfriend he used to tie to the porch post to keep her from running away.

Weird question do people down there like to eat them when they get that big? I see lots of shows up here. On guys bow fishing them. If so what other type of fish do they taste like? what color is the meat. You did mean a gator gar right?

Not positive on this, but actually I think they prefer the smaller ones for food as the meat is more tender. They don't taste like fish, they taste more like chicken. Whitish color meat. Aligator. Me and Jim (A Redneck friend of my dads) were coming back in from the gulf of mexico, we were going through the Wacassassa River when I spotted a gator. I pointed back at it and he lays off the throttle and turns the boat around and cuts the motor. He starts going through the compartments on the boat and I'm thinking, ok, what is Jim doing, looking for a gun? Maybe even the flaregun? Then I see him pull out a knife, and not a big one at that, maybe 6-7 inch blade. He then proceeds to close hte compartment, walk to the bow of the boat, step up to the edge and jumped right for the gator. While Jim was in Mid Flight the gator quickly thrashed and made a dive for deep water while Jim was DIRECTLY over him. He landed in the water and hte gator was gone. That was one crazy redneck.

Gator is some good eatin. You should email PowerPro and tell em about it. They would love to hear it.

And yes, PowerPro rocks. If you can't land it on PowerPro, than chances are you would'nt want to land it at all.

Chris,
It was at "The Tackle Box" up in downtown Ocala. I forget what diameter it said it had but it wasn't much, almost wanna spool some of that line on a big baitcaster and huge rod and make a mean flipping pitching setup.

Lizard, you need to come down and play w/ me and the boys during gator season. I promise you loads of fun. Yes the spanish mackerel is now known as the "No habla espanol ocean fish". The great white shark is also being renamed as "The shark keeping everyone down" and the black tip shark is-"The shark otherwise known as blacktip". I've also heard Zoom Horny toads are being renamed if they don't attach a MA rating to the title. I'm guessing they will now be ZOOM, overley excited toads.
