It's different by state y'all. Here there no minimum but only one can be over 24". Bag limit 5

you guys are correct.the minimum size in jersey is 12"...it used to be 9" a few years ago.

I don't know about the state regulations where you live, but in the state of California it is illegal to transport a live game fish, i.e. bass, and if it's undersized then that is whole different ballgame.

Who really cares. I wouldn't think any thing about it. Whether the fish is 2 inches or 2 lbs. It's not a big deal, thats unless your neighbor is an unfriendly game warden !
