Mono: Suffix Elite. It's a very supple line with decent abrasion resistance. It's similar to Trilene XL but superior, IMO. I use it when I want some stretch with spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and cranks. It casts better than any mono I've used.
Braid: I only use braid for frogging and heavy slop pitching, and I mainly use Power Pro. I was using Fireline Braid until I got a dud spool of scuffed up 30# line. I'll try Fireline again at some point. It's smooth and quiet when going thru the guides. I think casting distance may be improved due to the smoothness. Fluoro: I've only used Berkley Vanish and Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon. Tried Vanish first, and it is terrible. Surprisingly bad for a Berkley line. Terrible stiffness and memory that gets worse instead of better as with most lines. Kinks, launching baits on the cast, breaking off on hooksets, brittle knots, etc. The Trilene 100% is a big improvement and I'm pleased with it. The 15# gets a lot of use from me with jigs and t-rigs, and I dropshot and jigworm with the 10#. Copolymer: P-Line CXX. This stuff is some pretty amazing line in the lesser diameters. The 4-6# lines work well for finesse presentations and also for walleye, stream trout and panfish. It's very durable but still limp and easy to cast. I use the 6# on a 6' light action spinning setup for skipping unweighted tubes under docks. I pulled some 4.5 lb bass out from deep underneath docks last year with this setup and never once had a break off. I'm sold on the the lighter tests. The 17# test? Not so much... Too stiff for me. |

...................................... I am fixing to stretch out the P line flouroclear in the back yard, in prep of a fishing trip in 2 days. Its got a good bit of memory. Seemed like the first spool I tried was the best, dont know if Ive changed or if they have or expectations or what. Gonna just trust BB on all my line purchases for the year and see where it gets me (I wont start replacing till what I have is used up though) |

Fluorocarbon: Had good luck with Triple Fish, and Berkley. Only two I've tried so far, but didn't have any of the problems I've heard of others having with fluoro. Maybe because I use KVD line and lure? Also, I've tried Yo-Zuri, a co-poly, and I hate to say it because so many swear by it, but I didn't like it. At all.
Braid: I've tried a few, Rapala stretch braid, PowerPro, and a couple I don't remember. Didn't see much difference in any of them. Oh, fireline was another. I remember because by the end of the day, my hands and reel were green with the color bleeding off the line. Not impressed. Mono: I've tried a bunch, from the 1.99 spools at WalMart, which I don't recommend, to sufix elite, I really didn't notice much difference in the mid and upper priced stuff, so I just grab whats on sale, be it trilene, sufix, whatever. Just no more ultra cheap stuff. Obviously I don't really have a lot of brand preferences, as I like to try something different every time, and probably always will. I like experimenting. |

Hmm... probably sufix and p-line. I've only used the mono of both of them, but I really like them! I'd like to try the braid and flouro of both.
Braid = Ppro Floruo = BPS flouro

Mono = Sufix Elite (Red package)
I started using this line last year, and have complimented it ever since. The line is not only stronger than other monofilaments, but it virtually has no memory. This is my all around, go to line. I've fished it on my Shimano Citica baitcaster without any flaws. It's tied to my soft plastics, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and topwater lures. I have a new "Ol' Faithful". |

I strictly use mono - 12lb Stren is what I normally use.

It looks like it's only 1 rebate per household. Of course, you could always have someone else submit another rebate for you. Also, it's participating stores only, so you might wanna check that out before buying. Bass Pro Shops IS participating, that much I do know.

Mono/Coplymer: P-Line CX (for thin diameter; when cranking and cold water fishing).
( I also like Trilene Big Game for some applications) Fluoro: Although it's not "the best" I still like Seaguar Invis X, again, for the thinner diameter. Braid: Still don't use the stuff. That may change, but it may not.

I'm typically fishing clear water, so...
Flouro: Trilene 100% flouro 6 and 8 lb (I've had nearly zero problems, even in the cold). Big tip - don't quite fill the spool the whole way up. This seems to help with spinning reel over runs from memory. I've tried other flouros, and only one sticks out in mind as being horrible - vanish. I've used various seaguar flouros and liked them, but the Trilene has been great. Braid - Power Pro 40 or 50 lb (seems like a standard answer) My Dad spools the lighter Power Pro weights on spinning reels and loves it, but I only put braid on baitcasters. Mono - Trilene XL |

I'll have to try some of the Suffix mono/braid since everyone is so high on it. However, it's really not a big deal to me because I use Floro 80% of the time. I like the Bass Pro mono. It's cheap, it's dependable, and it casts great. I'm not a triline Big Game fan....too much memory. As for floro, I'm a big fan of original seaguar. Invis-x casts great, but I only use it on spinning outfits. I'll use Bass Pro floro for a little more abrasion resisant option. I need to try Seaguar's abrasion resistant floro. Anyone heard anything on it.
