Shaky Head fishing is as basic as it can get. I use a 7 ft M fast tip rod, coupled with a 2500 Shimano Stradic spooled with 10lb Power Pro and a 4 ft 8 lb mono leader. Depending on the depth I'm fishing or the wind, I use a 1/8-3/8 oz jig head, and rig my worm tex posed. My worm of choice is a Zoom 6 inch trick worm. The tail floats, which also helps to keep the jig in a up right position.
