Do you have to file the feet smooth first? Just a thought. Anyway it really looks good. It makes me want to build a rod.

yea always check the feet first...since im not doing an under wrap to protect the blank more,the feet have to be smooth on the bottom to prevent digging in....luckily ,all of mine already are.. so what i have to do now is file and taper the top part of the feet more to prevent the thread from snapping underneath them.... not filing the top part was my mistake from last night.....lesson learned,

Waffle we use Alps guides on our rods they come pre filed and they are a great guide to wrap, very user friendly. You just want to file the guide enough to start the thread up the foot and do not wrap very tight or it will cause the blank to break at the thread.
