We also need to remember who we are talking to here, and where they are from. I'm just guessing that those wintry condition are the norm up there in MEchigan, maybe that's why some of us see it differently.

When it's snowing at my home lake, you'd better be on the water! Like doc said, it usually doesn't get that cold here, but last year I had to stop about every three casts to pull my line loose from my rod guides...buddy, that's cold in South Arkansas!

Fishing gear organizing weather is from .25-3.5" of ice in fall/winter and 3.5"-ice out in spring. Other than that I'd be fishing or ice fishing.
