A couple additions to the rules. Alright guys,
1. I like the password idea. So as of now I will be posting the password on June 30. This will also need to be included on the date paper. The password can be in place of "bassfishin.com" on the paper. 2. Each participant will be allowed to enter ONE (1) fish under 15" for the new Smalled Fish category. The fish will have to be on a ruler with the date/password paper. The smallest fish will be determined by length. If you submit more than one Smallest fish entry, the first one recieved will be the one used, and the other will be discarded. 3. On the "Largest Stringer of 5" All you'll have to worry about is sending me the single pics. I'll determine the largest stringer by all the fish you've submitted. And please, to make this easier for me and faster for everyone: PLEASE ONLY ONE ENTRY PER EMAIL. I know may take longer by sending them all separately, but it will help me determine the winners more easily. Thanks again. And thanks for being cooperative and helping me work out the bugs. BB

I dont know if this would be called "cheating", but what If i catch say a 8 inch bass. I take a pic of it with its lenth, as well as the paper with the info. Do I have to turn it in that day, or can I wait a while to see if I catch something smaller. And If I dont, can I post an "old" bass that I havent posted yet, say a week or two after the catch?

I think earlier, he had mentioned that catches had to be submitted within 24 hours. If that is the case, then you 24 hours to catch a smaller one.
My suggestion is that a sticky be placed at the top of the page with the 1st post being the final rules of the tournament. |

I am revising the rules now, and I do believe once I get them all set up, Kevin is going to ssticky them for me. I like the idea of 24hours. That would add a bit of bit strategy to the Smallest Fish category. Ya know determining whether you want to enter it or, wait and see if you catch another one. Cause Like I said, I will only be accepting ONE smallest fish entry from each person, so choose wisely.

Well, they are made for flyfishing, but if you insist on not flyfishing then you can attach a bobber a few feet above said popper. that way you can cast it far enough, and the perch/small bass are so greedy they will still hit it. TB |

do baby perch have a big circle on their side? i've caught some hand or so ones with it just letting it sink.. That bass spray they sell at wallyworld atrracts them a bit.. i had a little science brewing.. i had 5 sticks.. i threw one in the water with nothing and 2 minnows swam to it.. again 3 minnows.. and third time i had the spray on it.. about 30 came to it.. then another and about 4 swam to it finnaly i tossed another one about a foot away with spray on it and like 15 went and the rest followed..
then thats how i caught the fish with the circle lol

Real perch, are yellow with black stripes. The perch most of you southern boys are talking about are sunfish: bluegills, redears, pumpkinseeds, etc.

I noticed that private lakes were not excluded in the rules. Was this a mistake?

The problem I am going to have is that the private pond that my fishing buddies eat the hogs that they pull out. If I catch one and release it, they might not invite me back. I guess I could always go for the smallest fish.

I can only go when they go. It is a friend of a friend thing. The lake is in this guy's backyard and we have to park in the guy's driveway. He would know if my buddy was not with me. Well I can always hope to catch that hog in Lake Purdy. Yeah right. Who am I kidding? |
