I'd say bimonthly would probably be good. (every two months, not twice a month) Maybe every three months... maybe...
I'm uploading an idea for the map as I type. BB

Okay, the one suggestion I would add is this.
We could do a nationwide off set of this as well. With the internet at our hands, we should be able to find out the state record bass for our states. (i know this sorta screws me and the guys from the bigger fishing areas) CA is 21 lbs 12oz. We measure our wish against the state record. For example, a 5 lbs bass in CA would be a 23% fish ((state record divided by fish weight). The same fish is a 42% fish in Michigan where the state record is 11 lbs 15 oz. The highest pecentage wins. I know this requires some math, but together we could pull it off.

Fellas. Does anyone remember who the Northeastern region Champ was last time around?? I don't think anyone else entered.
I'd be willing to play again, but probably not until April at the earliest....

okay gang....as for trust. photo and measuring tape. or if you have a good enough camera, you CAN get a pic with the weight on it. i took one of my wifes biggest of last year and you can SEE the 3#8oz on the digital scale read out. i think that everyone here will be honest.....honestly. no pun intended either.

Well I would say lets go by weight. Length doesn't matter in a tourney.
Pic on the weight could be hard but I do think we can be honest here when doing it? I do like cassidyta's idea. With the internet at our hands, we should be able to find out the state record bass for our states. (i know this sorta screws me and the guys from the bigger fishing areas) CA is 21 lbs 12oz. I must have been drinking to come up with that plan....lol. Here is one link with all of the records. Review them and let me know if any one disputes any of these.
http://www.landbigfish.com/statereco...cords.cfm?ID=6 BTW...looking at these, I feel for you Northern boys. I will put a spreadsheet together. (yes, I am a geek) that will allow you to simply put the weight of your fish and state in and it can figure it all out for us. It might be fun for everyone to see how their fish would do in another state.

Okay, spread sheet is done.
If you enter the length and girth of your fish, it will do the calculation of (length X length X girth) and then divide by 1200. It then compares your weight to the record books. It takes your fishes calculated weight and multiplies by 16 to get the total ounces. It divides this by the total ounces of the state record and shows the percentage of the state record. I removed the canadian providences from my sheet, but could add them again if need be. I don't think I can upload a spreadsheet to here so I need some volunteers who want it e-mailed to them to mess around with and tell me if it works for them. When we finally kick this off, we will either see if Kevin can put it on the site or I can link to a seperate site that can house it.

I think that if you set it up by region, everyone who enters could toss in a lure (under $7 say) for the winner of his/her region. We used to do this with my cigar site I was on. The winner of the region gets the lures that the others in his region put in.

I love this idea! The state record % is a great twist that puts everyone on a level playing field unless you are in Massachusetts or Georgia :-). I think that pictures should be required of any entry with either a golden rule shot or a digital scale readout shot.
