Pig N Jig,
There is no other manfacturer of castable mini planer boards that flip direction when given a little tug. If there were I would have heard about it and the patent search by the US patent office would not have allowed my Utility Patent. If some one is infringing on my patent I'de like to know. It isn't cheap or easy to do what I have done. BulletBobber's are made under US Patent # 6,874,271 Paul |

TheLuhr Jensen® Hot Shot® Side Planer™ is in no way comparable to what I have invented. It is not castable and does not reverse direction when given a little tug. I'll say one thing about it though you get whole lot of plastic for your $10.00.
The Top 10 Advantages for using the BulletBobber are all unique techniques that only my patent can do. http://www.bulletbobber.com/faq.asp |

Bob, Don't knock that chunk of plastic until you have used them. There is no need to cast them, just drop in the current along the shoreline and the planer board rudder takes it away from you towards the middle of the river to any distance you want.Your beginning to irritate the **** out of me with your stupidity. Please do not post a thread bad mouthing a product that you have never used.Thank you. Definitely a good looking bobber for panfishing.

Apples too Oranges
Sorry, PNG I'm not trying to upset you.
The Lurh Jensen planer looks like they are only for large fish and have a limitted market appeal. I had 4 other designs over 30 years but never considered them worth patenting. When I did the patent search I found my old designs had been patented but never marketed. The Jensen planer is very much like one of my designs. The BulletBobber does not need to be cast but it can be and that is an advantage over others and the flipping direction without reeling in is a great advantage that only the BulletBobber can do. I know I have a great invention because it fits followed the designers and marketing rules. 1. KEEP IT SIMPLE 2. MAKE IT FUN & EFFECTIVE 3. MAKE IT FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITY LEVELS I am a promoter of: "TAKE ME FISHING" and "FISHING HAS NO BOUNDARIES". FIshing is good for the soul. Paul Lieb BulletBobber Enterprises |

I have a TheLuhr Jensen® Hot Shot® Side Planer™ and I am not impressed one bit with it! I have yet to try BulBob's bulletbobber but have had numerous occations where I have needed one. I am leaning tward his Dual fin idea more because I Salmon and Steelhead fish here in Oregon. I have told my son who lives with his mother in another city and he has them ordered right now. I take some of my boys to a local trout pond and if I didn't have child support to pay all my boys would be using the bulletbobber! I have 5 boys from age 18-1. Bob I appriciate your invention and I have told all my fishing buddies about it! I have read several of your other blogs and made one of your bobbers out of basswood but the nose dove under water like a submarine and the foam one I tried to make was way too boyent. My next experiment I am going to try today is a combonation of a foam float with a basswood planer. (foam on the water basswood virtical as the planer). Wish me luck! When I have enough spare cash however I will buy your bobbers for my entire family.

You're just mad because it's almost as old as you are.

Exactly what I was thinking. The FnF is a bobber technique any self respecting basser would use. We'll call it float to take some of the sting out of it.
