i hate baitcasters i rather use a spinner my brothers wants me to use one when i see him.. i said i hate baitcasters my ex-father inlaw gave me one it's staying in MN

At same price, u usually get a better spinning reel rather than baitcaster.

i tryed casting with the baitcaster i gotten it put a nest in it so my ex-wife had to fix the mess that's why i hate them they said use you thumb as a break tried and no luck

I think "backlash" is probably the wrong term for a spinning reel, but we all know a spinning reel can sure unspool a gob of twisty line at the most unappropriate time. That might be the wrong terminology too but y'all know what I mean.

First off JB I have to say that I know I can and sevral several others that I fish with can pinpoint lures that weigh a 1/16 or even less at VERY respectable distances. It depends on the experience of the caster and the quality of there equipment. Personally If I could only take 1 rod/reel combo it would be a baitcaster that has the option of quick change spools and the rod would be a medium action fast taper rod. Even though different rods do better fishing a certain lure with different actions you can fish just about anything on a medium action with somewhat good results.
