Jigs!
Jigs will be my main focus this year. There's 50 different things I want to work on, but with limited time on the water, this will be my main squeeze this year. Flipping's always been my favorite technique, but it's mostly been soft plastics. I've spent a good part of this winter making my own jigs, so I'm pumped to get out there and give them a soak!
I did pick up some BBB Warmouths here last fall that I'm looking foward to trying too. I think they could be pretty versatile. I'd like to work some flutter spoons and deep cranks too, but that will only be if I get on some clearer water. Most of the lakes I fish are dirty enough there's not much a deep bite usually. Good luck to all you guys! Jesse |

I am going to put more time behind the bigger swimbaits to see what will happen. I have a ton of faith in the Triton Mike Bull Shad 5" now I want to move into the 6" and longer.

Yeah, I've got 2 of em. They definitely have nice action, but the frog bite was just not there all season in my area, so I threw frogs sparingly. I'm definitely hoping the bite is better this year!

I've been hearing a lot of talk lately about some guy in Finland...Lauri something or other that's making a floating balsa injured minnow type of bait. Supposed to have a little plastic lip up front that gives it a special wiggle that bass can't resist. Heard rumors that he hand tunes and tank tests each and every one of them....all this sounds like a myth to me but who knows....if yall hear anything definate let me know.

I just starting pouring my own jigs this week so I can't wait until the lakes thaw and I can put 'em to use.
