Bama,
It sure would be awesome if you were able to make it, but I understand, with your new house and move-in.

and Bama, you should have seen the look on NoFear's face when we were hauling arse across the lake. It was kinda like this.. ..instead of NoFear it was KnowFear!

Man, you ain't kiddin! I hadn't gone that fast in a boat before. And just for the sake of argument, I will say we "took air". Mark doesn't agree with me because "the motor was still in the water" ROFL!! Man, I didn't realize how hard I was grabbing the "oh sh**" handles on his boat...when we got to our destination, my hands ached. Talk about white-knuckles!

I'm gettin' better now. Thanks to Mark's crash course (no pun intended) in Lake Rippin 101, and a lot more seat time, I am more comfortable driving my boat WOT in considerable chop. I'm actually lookin' forward to trying for 60 mph when I get that new pusher.

Well Gang, how's this for accommodations? www.thecoveonpatoka.com
It's located just up the hill from the Little Patoka Boat Ramp; excellent facility. This is has been my weekend getaway spot, and every one's WELCOME! My RV will sleep four, and there is also plenty of room to pitch a tents if needed, along with the cabin rentals that are available there.

The Cove's website provides a link with good directions and pics of the place. Everyone is welcome to look through my Photo Album for more pics of the place.http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...php?albumid=34

Tentatively, the date has been set for the September 25, 26, 27. We should know for sure real soon.

There is also a campgroup over at Newton-Stewart. However, being the softie that I am...the Bunkhouse sounds like easy livin' to me! Everyone chime in soon so we can book it!

I have stayed in the Bunkhouse before, and I got to say that its a perfect fit for a group of five, looking for a getaway weekend fishin' trip. It's got two sets of bunks, a pull-out couch, and small kitchen, and of course a bathroom. And it's located conveniently next to the Bait-Store, for all your last minute needs.

You should have seen it, once it got really going! The flames were as tall as the trailer, and that's no joke!

I wish I had pictures of our freshman bonfire at Rose-Hulman, back in '86. It's no surprise to me they stopped it all after the disaster at TCU in the 90's.

Our fire had flames well over a hundred feet in the air. It was so hot, you could feel the heat off of it a hundred yards away, in a pouring thunderstorm hehe. It was simply unholy.

Woody...after that comment, you do realize you're going to have to find more lodging space.

That's what I'm hoping for anyways. The big cabin does sleep 15.

JB,
NoFear had mentioned checking in to the Bunkhouse. This rustic bunkhouse is a perfect fisherman's getaway for 5.

I'll have my boat too, with room for one more.

JB, are you sure you're wanting to tent it? I have my tent as well, but for a whole weekend, the Bunkhouse sounds nice. Give me a call if you want to split it 3-4-5 ways, whatever.
