You might have to pay 1/2 price or so for a replacement, but that's a bargain! FlyRod |

From the list above, I have only one, the loomis, but it's no longer my favorite rod, that would have to be the AiRRUS rod now. I love the fast action tip response, and it seems even more sensitive than the loomis. My hook sets are up and I don't seem to lose as many fish. For all around fishin....IE wormin, and shallow to medium cranks, the AiRRUS rod is my favorite.
I take that back, I do have a St. Croix too! |

but in the affordable range my favorite seem to be all-star rods |

I have St. Croix, Shimano, GLoomis, All Star and Falcon rods. The GLoomis and All Star rods have been disappointing. For some reason I lose a lot of fish on these rods. The Falcon is new and I like it a lot. I have a four or five rods made with St. Croix blanks and they have held up well with years of use. The Shimano rods have held up well too and they are the least expensive of all the rods I own.

The rods I fish day in and out are Berkley Bionix and Lightning. I have tried more expensive rods but prefer the feel of these. I hate to think of how much money I have sitting down in the basement leaning against the wall.
