bigfish - use the Search feature and check out some of the previous posts on chatterbaits. I've posted tons of pics of fish caught on them over the past three years......they are great baits if you use them at the right place at the right time. Be careful that you check the blade/eye connection and make sure the hook eye is closed. The jig has a tendency to come free on some models and you'll end up reeling jsut the blade back in.

Glad your happy with them. No glue as they are pretty tight on there and the jigs have a lip on the shank that hold them well.

Drop of glue wouldn't hurt. Some skirts slip after a lot of use (on a chatterbait) and some use wire to wrap their skirts on.

nmanley I've been looking at the jansnetcraft.com and can't find any of the gold shaker swim blades. I'm only seeing the silver blades is that where you got the gold blade from too? By the way thanks for posting that information I can't wait to start making my own! They are cheaper and it's a lot easier to get the color combos I want to use!

Mine are the silver ones. Just look a little gold due to the lighting in my boats garage.

Sometimes they thump them but most of the time the rod loads up as they swim off with them. I've seen bass suck them down and spit them out when fishing real clean water and never feel a thing. Double check the hooks and sharpen them when they come out of the box!!!!

C'mon you have to keep up with the times and you have to repeat things these days. Multiple times. People don't pay attention to what's said to others they have to be told specifically......

I'd post a couple pics of some of the fish I've caught on chatterbaits recently but I've used up all my space.
