To add more posts and more members I would recommend photos, stories, and questions. Rather than just drop in to "read" I suggest we do more OP's.

Default Check in

I stop and check in fairly regular as the frozen water season lends itself to a little slower pace

Every now and then. Not as often as I would like but life gets in the way if you know what I mean. Great to see some old friends still are here. Goint to try to get by more often.

Sure miss 'ol Zooker and Flyrod.

I check in every now and then, but not very often. Maybe once every couple of weeks.

The problem with this site is that there won't ever be any more members, because Kevin has shut down all registration. And over time, that's a death sentence. The members we have will eventually move on, for any number of reasons, and with no one able to sign up, membership and involvement will decline until nobody's left to post. Then this place really will be a ghost town.

Yep. Which is why we tried a desperation break out to Anthonys. I feel like I am in some dystopian movie, where I returned to earth after a nuclear holocaust to see if there are any signs of life regenerating. Not much.

I guess we just keep checking in until a time somebody comes up with something new? Anthony's sites problem was it didn't have the advertising, domain, or clout of bf.com. So while people could register, it wasn't bringing in a lot of new blood. Also, I admit I have not been able to fish as much, so I at least couldn't give my latest take on so many new things.

I keep an icon for the website link on my PC desktop. Each morning I click on the icon and take a look in the Forum.

I just happened to look in my bookmarks and noticed I hadn't visited here in awhile. Like this forum and Ult Bass but visit and post to the latter almost daily. Since BassResource is a waste of time and protective of a few clowns who are quite nasty, I do visit it ever so often to grab some topic ideas to post elsewhere. (Still can't believed they suspended me.....) Not the case here.

I come on every now and then to sort of reminisce, dig up old threads from my youth and (mostly laugh at myself) but relive the good old days. BF was once a major part of my life. I remember setting my alarm clock to go off at 5:40 AM... 20 minutes earlier than necessary before middle school, just so I could "catch up" on the posts that I had missed the previous night after bedtime from Zooker, Flyrod, Reb, Lizards, WTL, and on and on. I would then arrive at school, and if by some luck we happened to be in the library that day, spend the whole class hour trying to disable the school firewall to access BF. I was addicted, and though pretty stupid on this site most of the time, the amount of knowledge passed around and given was infinite and invaluable to me, then and now.

It's nice seeing you guys too. I think that's what keeps me coming back occasionally, I always hope that this place will open back up.

Sorry, Dave.
The site is listed as "CharlieTaylorfishing - Virginia weekly fishing report"
I don't live in Virginia, I've never heard of Charlie Taylor and there's insufficient "topics" for me to venture in there.
I truly wish him luck with his site.
