vegabond, firstly no one was making fun of you. 2oz is an extremely heavy weight. No one was doubting whether the bait weighed that much, just that its shocking to find one that weighs that much. I know for a fact that the Rago generic mouse weighs right around 2oz.
Secondly, loosen up or get some thicker skin. All flyrod was saying is that 2oz of weight is enough to snap a pole into two pieces. He was implying that in order to fish something that heavy, you need a VERY stout rod..what some refer to as broomsticks or something along those lines(maybe even a log!). Using the ignore button on anyone in this post is gonna make you miss out on a lot of good information because the ones who replied here are gonna be the usual ones throwing out the good stuff. There are others around, but you get the idea. Anyway, like I said..loosen up, relax, take a deep breath...don't be so sensitive. |

Oh, I mix in a little sarcasm and humor....I'm sorry! I didn't use the politically correct terminology.....After all he's not the one who tied a nationally protected furry woodland creature onto his blonde buxom fishing rod and threw for the financially challenged seats...please purchase some sanity impaired animal by-products and check you knots.....There doesn't that make us all feel better?
Dang it has been hot here in IL and tempers are short! (among other things..esp. in So IL)
