i eneded up taking em to the pond on tuesday....my actual objective that night was to work on my poppers....Ive been getting nothing on this pond the last few trips,and was losing faith in it.....well of course the popper's arent getting any action.....so i tied on one of your brush-hogs.....and on the 2nd cast i nailed this little guy,lol
i worked it on the bottom,rod tip down,and using a short sweeping motion.
i kid you not...i had more short strikes on this brush hog than anything ive ever thrown in this pond..i mean,you could feel them hitting the back end of it,just not enough to set another hook..too bad the sun was fading quick,right when the bites are coming good....im also sick,and was starting to feel weak,so i couldnt take full advantage.....but ill be back saturday morning!
