Now THAT is an interesting theory! Definitely worth exploring.

He probably doesn't need them. It always seems to be windy when he's around. He could just open up his jacket and sail away at the first hint of trouble.

This is from Snopes and makes more sense to me than some of the conspiracy theories floating around. Just scroll down to the last paragraph.

You know, if the gubamint wanted to kill americans, hollow point bullets would not be the means. We have much more devastating arms to handle civil unrest, in the hands of the military. Drones and tanks and such.

But the problem with any of that, is that the soldiers would probably be reluctant to follow orders...so then you are looking at drones.

A few years back there was a guy who shot several people in a tiny alabama community, and the military somehow ended up patroling the streets, which I understand was a no-no.

---------------------------------

Still, the conspiracy theories all strike me as unlikely. I think being cautious is a wonderful thing. I can say that I share a few concerns reflected by the crazies in montana that form paramilitary units. But this is still a damn good country, Obama or not.

If target practice was the true intention it shows how our government wastes OUR money, hollow points to shoot at paper targets, come on.

Hey you could just look at it as a government bailout of Federal (pun intended) and other ammunition manufacturers.........................

OR, at least all that ammo isn't being bought up and given out to POSTAL WORKERS.......... probably should not have said that, probably pizzed off a Postal Worker, now I'll have to watch myself going in the Post Office, probably have my picture hanging on the wall by morning.........

I don't know the incident, but if it was the National Guard patrolling the streets as ordered by the governor, wouldn't that be a yes-yes?

There you go, gonna make me look up the incident to refresh my memory of what happened...

EDIT;
It was US army that was deployed, without the approval of the guvanah or presadant.

I can't help wonder if they HAD done the legal thing and said NO we won't help preserve a crime scene and we WON"T help protect people from getting harmed in traffic. If the crime scene was somehow damaged as result.
Just wondering...

Well, a certain Governor (and mayor) a few years back refused to let the then President deploy federal troops to a certain city built below sea level. And then when the proverbial shlt hit the proverbial fan, the President was painted as uncaring and incompetent.

So it appears that deploying the troops and NOT deploying the troops were probably BOTH bad ideas.

Duh.
