Yea it is. I think OU will be pretty good, probably close to as good as the real UT. I'm a little amazed at how little respect Bama is getting (not that it matters now), considering we were #8 and 10-2 last year and not even ranked in the preseason top 25 this year. But then again thats sportswriters for you, they get caught up in their own importance.

Nevermind OU, I just heard Rhett Bomar was kicked off the team. Sorry to hear that as I like the Sooners, but you can't take a chance with the NCAA (the bastards) and it makes me respect Stoops even more for having the guts to do that.

My hat's off to Bob Stoops and the Ath.Dir., Joe Castiglione, for doing the right thing so soon as they had the facts. "Sooner Magic" doesn't depend on one player, or two, or three. It's the product of tradition, determination, hard work, and being part of The University of Oklahoma. The Sooners will overcome this, and sooner than most might think. BOOOOOOOOMERRRRRRRRR! FR |

ZMAN, how bout them Sooners now? lol They lost their starting QB and Lineman for breaking NCAA rules (OU normal with Bob Stoops and Kelvin Sampson). I have to admit, I think Bedlam will go in favor of my Cowboys this year!!!! GO POKES!

With the scandals that OSWho? has endured, especially the thuggery and a coach that lost his cool while drunk (AND a sot for a BBall coach) maybe you'd best rethink your position. Maybe T. Boone NosePickens will come to your aid. After all, he bought Sheepmolester A&M @ Stoolwater; rusty lock, cracked stock, and bent barrel. Now, by way informing the rest of ya'll as to the truth of the matter, OU's all-time record v. S-A&M-Stoolwater is 77-16-7. Some pics (Warning, VERY graphic if you are a Sheepmolester.) First is from '03, BTW http://www.soonersports.com/PhotoAlb...D=54&ZID=13862 http://www.soonersports.com/PhotoAlb..._ID=&ZID=13735 http://www.soonersports.com/PhotoAlb...D=9&ZID=156194 http://www.soonersports.com/PhotoAlb...D=9&ZID=156188 And finally, the Genius and the Idiot...Mo-Lester "Let 'er rip!" Miles after the '03 massacre. http://www.soonersports.com/PhotoAlb..._ID=&ZID=13740 But seriously folks, we gotta let 'em win now and then. Otherwise they'd close the "school?" and then we'd have no in-state rival to kick around. Lemme see: Total of 100 games played in the series, less the 7 ties, equals 93. Soooooo...16 Molester wins for a ratio of...Oh my! Peace and Brotherhood. FR Last edited by FlyRod; 08-05-06 at 02:42 AM. |

Gators won! Couldn't see it due to pay per view. Pretty much sucks, gonna miss the first 2 games because of this.

Can't wait for the game tonight, #1 vs #2. The Bucks have the offense but I am not sure of the defense. Hopefully they are coached a little better than last year, when Tressel put Zwick back in the game I was so angry that my tv left the game early due to injury.

Yea but I bet you were sweating early. I don't understand the cowboys, they have such incredible skill players and a HOF coach but arent that great. Must be chemistry or something.

Ohio game, gotta love it. No doubt who is #1 right now. Gator's, again pay per view. UCF should have stayed home. Saturday baby. Gators vs Volunteers. I feel a *** whooping a coming for the orange and white.
Haven't been able to figure out the Cowboys lately. As stated good team, good coach. Must be some serious tension in the locker room.

Football!
Ok, so I haven't seen any Notre Dame games yet on TV. Yes, the only reason I root for Notre Dame in college football is that Charlie Weiss is their head coach. The Dallas Cowboys will never win a Superbowl as long as they have the Bledsoe-Tuna combo. I'm a Pats fan. I saw how awful that combo is. It breaks hearts, is what it does. Speaking of Pats, it's kind of nice having a HEALTHY SECONDARY for once! Rodney Harrison... is back. Defense as a whole looks a lot better. Offensive line... IS HEALTHY again. That's what really killed the Pats last year. Forget the injuries of running backs, secondary, etc., the offensive line injuries hurt the most. We had no running game whatsoever, and Tom Brady had to pass all the time. Not that that's a bad thing, as he had 4,111 yards. Too bad Deion Branch is gone. He was my favorite receiver. Now they have Troy Brown and a couple younger guys. That's ok too. Statistically, who is Tom Brady's favorite receiver? Whoever is open. Running game looks killer this year. To the Dolphins fan I saw: good luck making that Wild Card, because you sure ain't getting the division! By the way Colts fans, good pick up in Adam Vinatieri. Every kick that Vanderjaght screwed up last year, Vinatieri will easy make for you. See you when the Colts play the Pats either week 9 or 10, I forget which. You know, I was thinking about football and remembered this thread.
Had to come and spread my propoganda, haha. Nice seeing you again too. I hope Notre Dame can pull it off this afternoon against Michigan. It's supposed to be a good game. |
