I took zookers idea that he posted on here years ago about using one or two heavy sinkers with a clip connecting them to the line, and ended up making dozens of sets to give away to guys I was fishing that day with..I had to restock on some lead this winter to make some for me LOL
'thanks again zooker, its saved almost everything except some jigs that were caught under rocks on the causeway. |

They changed my schedule all up at work, so it looks like I won't be home that weekend. But it feels nice to be back home now on my favorite forum. We need to make trip to the "Kissa" though. I know the Panther is fine looking place 601 and Bama, but ya'll ought to look in to the possibility of Ohkissa. Although the fellowship is the reason, the fishing would be a plus.

I've seen people on MDWFP talking about Okhissa. I'd love to go there sometime, too. Panther's closer, though. I'll definitely try Okhissa sometime.

That lake looks like many lakes here in Texas. There are a good number of large fish caught from standing timber like that year round.A tube with a light weight usually works well, big crankbait with large diameter line has been the most consistent for me over the years.

Ok, so Bamabassman is headed here this weekend, and we're going to give the Panther a try. The bass are bedding, so I'm thinking lizards and crawfish imitations are the way to go. Weather should be ok, about 80 degrees, partly cloudy skies. Water temp I'm not sure about, but I'm sure the water will be stained with all the rain we've been getting.
Any new advice from anyone? I'm hoping to get me a hawg......oh yeah, and Bama too....

I've had success with pink floating worms -- try some tubes also.
But most of all make sure Bama is wearing a BPS hat or something other than what he normally wears. Good luck guys catch some pigs and post us some pics.
