nice fish woody, he falls dead in the slot in my local lake (16" to 21"). you would have to put him back in for more growing.

In Indiana, over 14" is a keeper.

some of our waters are 12" some 15" and some run a slot program. the thinking is the slot helps to grow bigger fish by limiting the harvest.

We have several slot lakes and min requirements on different lakes which don't bother me cause they all go back.If i keep fish its whitebass or crappie..Cats are plentiful and easiest to catch but not as tasty as the well known crappie.
