I just made lip for crankbait. I also put epoxy coat and then going to put clear coat over. Paint then epoxy and clear coat.
Color is going to be minnow. Black top, Silver bottom, red gill, spot on bottom for blood. 1 treble red and one nickel. I am going for wounded minnow with the red. The problem is you never know if your crankbait is going to work until you test it. So before I use I am going to test in water to see action. Sometimes no action and I just throw those out or drill hole through it.

After prepping the wood but before the primer I drilled a small pilot hole only about 1/8" or less deep then put epoxy on the threads and screwed it in. I put it so I can hang it on my drying rack.

I carved this on a camping trip last weekend and Painted it Monday night:
I am planning on using it on Lake St Clair ofn 10/21/05 for some big Ol' Small Mouth! It was carved from a piece of OAK. Chip

Gonna finish the rest tonight or tom. not sure yet. But going fishing tom. during the fall of pressure due to WILMA. Chris P.S also does anyone know how to adjust the size of pics because mine are always HUGE. |
