I have found that making a Bait Monkey account helps alot, I put back a set amount every payday and after that is gone it is gone until the next payday, this ensures that my family is taken care of and my bills are paid! But here is my next problem, my daughter is following in my shoes she is 10 years old and love to fish, and now when we got to BP or Academy she is wanting to buy stuff for her tackle box, the bait monkey has already gotten ahold of her I am afraid!!!

Each winter I sort through my own personal tackle warehouse. I have so many duplicates of baits that I rarely even use. I don't know why I buy the stuff but I just do. In all actuallity I only have about 4 baits that I use 90% of the time anyway. Each spring the wife and I have a yard sale and I bundle stuff up for resale. I use this money to keep me in hooks and line and ever so often the occasional rod and real. I usually order from Bass Pro and with the gift cards I get for Christmas I can usally keep myself passified from year to year. I probably have enough baits including cranks, spinners, jigs and burkley power worms in pumpkin seed to last me the rest of my life. Yet if I see them on sale I can't help but buy a few more. I have the same problem you guys do.

I would guess you are either a single man or your wife does not have access to that part of the house. At least in my case it is the only thing that could explain having them out in the open like that. My stuff is kept inside of cabinets or black trashbags......lol

Well I have to keep it somewhere I can look at it anytime I want You can't tell, but this is in a closet where I keep all my gear.
But it's helpful because I can pull what I do and dont need for every trip, depending on the lake and type of water Im headed too. |

Thanks MI
I am going to print those out and post them in my garage next to my fishing stuff. The next time my wife asks if I think I have enough stuff or makes any other comment about the amount of stuff I own then I will simply direct her to the picture and say "See, I am not that bad"

I had the flying lure, the helicopter lure, and my all time favorite bait for the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River The Banjo Minnow. As a kid I caught a ton of smallies and Red Eyes on that Banjo. I think its the only Gimmick bait that actually works.

Nevermind all the tackle. Could you imagine having two bass boats? I wonder if most pros have more than one boat.

I would suspect that they do. You have to figure that they can not afford to miss a weekend with boat problems like the rest of us.
Of course the rest of us propbably don't have the same sponsorship opportunities that they do.
