Actually the demonstration that Waffle gave is classic Texpose, pinching the plastic and impaling the point in the plastic is known as "skin hooking" after you Texpose. You can also "skin hook on the side of the worm for a weedless quick hooking technique as well. When using ringed baits such as the Grandebass Rattlesnake or Lake Fork Ring Fry, you can skin hook the worm through the sides only through the rings (not the core of the worm). This often allows mutiple fish on the same bait.

As for my own preference is a 4/0 > 6/0 XWG don't matter what brand of hook, to me a hook is a hook! Then a Purple / Blue sparkles 10-1/2" to a 13" Ribbon or curl tail worm. if the worm get riped off at the tail and then I have a choice to fish it couple different ways. I then would fish it around brush piles, docks, rocks, down trees, Lilly pads heck the whole lake.If I had another color it would be a Red / Gold sparkles, or Black and then Blue with Silver Sparkles.

I can't pick between a 1/4OZ chartreuse Culprit buzzbait or a 3/8OZ chartreuse & white colorado spinnerbait...
