I'm wondering if it won't just be easier for me to hit Livingston, and then take the highway up to Starpoint, rather than drive around from the Northeast. Either way, I'll keep an ear perked up for Banjo music.

-Smallmouth Seminar- to be held Thursday evening May 6, 2010 at the Lodge.
Sorry to change the subject, but I have a big announcement to make concerning -who- is going to speak at our BassFishin.Com Seminar, Thursday evening, May 6, 2010.
I just had the pleasure of speaking by phone with Stephen Headrick of Punisher Lures Co. I am pleased to report that he has graciously accepted a dinner invitation for that Thursday evening and that he also agreed to do a seminar for us, specifically, a smallmouth seminar. Here's a list of his credentials. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/index Yes, that's right, he has his own blog on ESPN's Bassmaster.com. Do a "search" for Stephen Headrick to see his imput to Bassmaster.Com. http://www.thesmallmouthguru.com/ http://www.dalehollowfishing.com/ http://www.punisherlures.com/ -Mark Last edited by woody; 10-27-09 at 11:50 AM. |

Mark,
I don't know if other people are feeling this, but I have got to say it...you are doing one heck of a job getting all of this together. I have to give you a big ol' attaboy. I am in such anticipation of an amazing Smallmouth weekend, all we need now is good weather...and I'm starting to believe you can pull that off too.

Well thanks Bryce for the words of appreciation. I got to say though, that the pleasure has been mine during the planning of this event. You know though, I can't help but to notice how well all the planning has been coming together for this event. Call it what you may, but I must give credit to the one that truly deserves it, "the big guy upstairs", God Almighty Himself.

I really hope we can make it! BB

Thanks Anthony, I sure hope that you and your dad are able to make it. It wouldn't be the same without the two of you being there. I know that I'm not the only one that feels this way either. You and Kingfish and many others play a big role in making this a "positive experience" for all of us that attend.
I hope that all of you that attended the past events can make this one. I also hope to see allot of new faces this time too. Just like Bama said, Bring your whole family, you will not regret it. On the contrary, you will regret, NOT bringing them to share in this experience! -Mark |

I sure would like to. I'll have to see if I have a real job by then or if any other troublesome thing comes up. My mom lives in Ohio about 2/3 of the way there so it might be possible to stay the night there. It looks like 17 hours drive from here. It would be worth it though, I have always dreamed of trying to get those southern smallies.

PK, it is open to anyone who is a member, and you're more than welcome to come.
You get there when you can. I think most guys will be there by Thursday night. If you've got a boat, great, if not, I'm sure there will be someone with an open seat. It looks like we're having a seminar and dinner on thursday. We normally figure out dinner plans for friday once everyone gets there( we normally end up around someones campsite with a bondfire), and Saturday night is the fish fry at John and Lisa's (bamabassman and mrsbamabassman). BB144 is right, the event is open to all members and their families. I can assure you that this gathering is "family safe" so bring the wife and kids along too. The cabins are filling up quick, so I would call and make your reservations as soon as possible. -Mark |

Woody is DEAD on! This is SUPPOSED to be a family event. So please guys, bring your better half if at all possible. If you aren't married, bring your girlfriend, if no girlfriend, RENT one. Hahaha, kidding. But do bring your entire family. We want this to become a really huge event. There is no telling what this can lead to if everyone brings in the family. Maybe a NATIONAL event? Think about it.

Appreciate it
I will see what I can do about a room, or someone I believe mentioned they also have camping? I might look into that if they do as we are campers here also. Look forward to meeting everyone.

That's great Paul, I'm glad to hear that you and yours can make it.
When you call and make your campsite reservation, if you'd like, mention to them that you're with BassFishin.Com and would like to have adjoining campsites. I sure there will be other members that were planning to camp also. Looking forward to meeting you too. -Mark |

Zooker, I'm sure you'll give them plenty of company. You'll fit right in. In fact I think that room will be dangerous.
