If only a single state could break free.

Thats the problem, more than political ideology - we have neglected states rights for so long that the National Gov't has become everything. It used to be the states were the proving ground for policy and ideology. Now we subject the entire nation to ideological seachanges. Its bad, bad news.

Shoot, I'd love to see a new confedaracy. Unfortunately, after the war between the states, the North won, got to write the rules, and took the idea of states rights clean out of the picture. We have a right in both the constitution and the declaration to "amend or abolish" a government that gets too restrictive.

Looks like the Candidate CHANGE has won. So instead of another 4 years of President Bush, we have another 4 years of President Clinton's people.
Yep, that sounds like change to me!
