Default Jig heads???

OK, I am a bit stuck in my ways as far as techniques and styles go. I am bored silly here in the great frozen north and have been reading and watching vids and have read about shaky head jigs and stand-up jig heads??? I know these are common tools for many of you guys, but they are totally french to me!! Could you possibly help me out as far as what types of soft platics are used with these, and how they are rigged up??? a little help with the techniques and good areas of the water? season? and all that good stuff would be great as well. Thanks

I am totally new as well, but I have found pictures on how to rig them. The link below shows the shaky head jig. any ideas on techniques. I can rig it but fishing it will be totally different.

I"ve caught a few using a Zoom Super Chunk Jr. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descp...l?from=BASSFAN I like targeting laydowns then hopping them and dragging them slowly.

my favorite is a yum dinger but you can use any soft plastic with this rig any time of year. as far as presentation goes ive had best luck flippin into structure giving the line a little jiggle without dragging the bait at all, letting it set a second or two then repeat if i dont get bit then i try another spot. if the bite is slow remember to down size the bait.

Finesse worms or Trick worms. Both are similar in design but the Trick worm is longer.
