Internet Out?

Fix it yourself!
Woke up this morning, decided to check my email, my server was down, and it's in CA, so it was about 4:30AM there, I figured it would be back up by this afternoon, sooo...

I get home this afternoon, and the net is off, the modem is showing that it's not getting a connection, so I go outside, and sure enough, the guys out there who are digging a ditch cut my wire, even after no-cuts marked it! I promptly called, and got the we're busy, and we'll come in the morning answer. I stomped my foot, listened to some music, then said, what the heck, I'll just fix it! So I did, I did electrical work for a long time, but not like this

The grey wire is the phone (I think), the black is the cable, and the yellow is mine

Good job.

I'm currently gloating over fixing the airconditioner in the computer room. Sure I have to start the fan up like an old biplane, but its blowing cool air now. It was 84 in the hall minutes ago. I probably wont even bother to go get a starting capacitor to fix it like a decent human being cause I be so cheap.

I might still have a booster still from my old HVAC days! My fan at work is like that, I won't get rid of it though, it was FREE

Little tip, not sure if you know, it's a llot easier to start with a screwdriver, just turn it on, kick it, and she's good to go.
