You sight fishing? Color, brand...makes no difference - except to say that if your sight fishing, you need to be able to see your bait. My preference, fish a 3/8oz red jig with a white grub trailer. Pitch it past bed and creep it up and when fish swims in front of jig, bump her in side - not so hard that you foul her her, just make her mad. A couple of good bumps and she gonna be mad. If she doesn't hit the jig, then switch to lizard, tube, worm, anything will do, as long as you can see it. Suprisingly, you will actually feel very few strikes, but if you can see you bait, you will either see it disappear as she inhales it, or you will see it hanging out of her mouth as she picks it up and moves off. Either way set the hook, land her, take picture and put her back.

Love the Yum Zellamander, green with red flake. Unique split tail design gives it a little more action than most.
