Default Boarding ladders

in the BBM web. saw a ladder that was attached to the jackplate. looked pretty sturdy and easy to use. anyone know about this type of ladder? it was attached to the left side of the jackplate and looked as if was retractable. this old fella could use something like that.

A friend of mine bought a Skeeter I-Class and it came with one of them. Seemed very functional and a great idea if your boat does not have one. Trying to get in my boat is a pain in the bung I would defenately look into getting one.

riverfisher: The boat I saw this on was a Phoenix. It appeared to very well engineered and functional ladder. At Our age if I or My Wife were to fall overboard. We would have a heck of a time. Rope and aluminum ladders and such just will not work for us, no storage space.

Here's the E-Ladder: www.rnrd.com/mpa.main.html#

and another jack plate ladder: www.uniqueboatproducts.org/catalog2.htm

I think if I ever fall out I will just hug the motor and stand on the cavitation plate and tilt it up to lift myself out of the water. At least that is my plan for when I fall in.

E-ladder, bought one last year. Easy install, no holes in the boat. May not be the easiest to climb out of the water with. I'm putting a stainless hand hold on the back of the boat to help pull yourself out of the water. Just isn't much on the back of my boat to grab ahold of.

Bender: Thanks for the heads up on the web sites.
Bassboogieman: I purchased the E-ladder also. Your idea about the hand-hold is good. I have been looking at various suppliers but have not found one that would fit around the corner of My boat. Thank for the help.
