Default Who would you pick and where?

If you had your choice of fishing one day anywhere with ONE pro... who would it be and where would you fish?

My choice: Woo Daves on the Alabama River

As a guy who loves to throw frogs, I would have to go with Rojas. Where doesn't really matter to me.

I fished with both Stanleys and Paul Elias. Woo I have worked a tv boat around as well as Roland and Fritts. But I have always wanted to spend a day with KVD. I would like to learn his intensity on fishing.

What I am saying is when I guide I see the fish (in my mind) and I suspect I know what they want, but with KVD he has the pattern figured out two steps ahead of my forward thinking. It is like playing pool with my dad. He always shoots three shots ahead....

KVD on my boat would be a good day.

I would have to pick KVD as well. Any of our home lakes or rivers will do!

I am getting stronger everyday with monster swimbaits. I would like to spend a day with Ish Monroe. When i fished redman. Massive sized swimbaits were'nt around. I feel like this old dog is learning somthing new. I want to get into ISH MANs head. I want to know more about there use from the swimbait master himself.

Aaron Martens on a clear water lake of his choice finesse fishing. Drop shots, shakey heads etc. I'd like to learn the technique from someone who knows how. Nearly all my bass fishing is power fishing and I'd like to learn finesse fishing from someone who knows how.

I would take KVD, because he is said to be one of if not the best and take him to a local lake. The lake is small but have some big bass in it. But it has some of the smartest bass you will see. It can see any line no matter what brand or lb. YOu can see 10+ lbs. from land swimming around but no matter what you thow they will go up to it and swim away. You can also see 14+ lbs.jumping out of the water about 50 yeards out from land but its very hard to catch the big ones, with artificial or live bait. We have tried them all.

If we were talking about golfers, my choices would be easy, but I don't have a real feel for the personalities of many of the pro's and show hosts. I guess I would like to spend a day or two with Bill Dance on my home lake, Lake Alan Henry. I would like to learn to fish deep as this lake goes 20 foot or better 10 feet from the shore. Most channels are 40 feet or more.

I think either Skeet Reese or Ike...they alway seem to have a good time and catch a boat load of fish. I have heard that KVD keeps to himself and is all-business all the time...if I'm fishing I want to learn something, but I want to have fun doin' it....now before you jump down my throat I still think KVD is definitely one of the greatest bass anglers, but this is about who you would want to fish with...and I would choose Reese or Ike

The only way I was able to skip frogs was to drop down to a 6 foot rod and turn all 6 breaks on. I know I lost a lot of distance, but it has worked for me. I also had to reel the frog all the way up for it to do any good at all.

The line is way too long for KVD. Actually my 1st choice is with Mike Iconelli. Where? On my home waters, the NYC reservoirs. Mike would have to do his homework and limit the gear he can bring along as he would be fishing out of the back of either a 12 or 14 ft rowboat. Now that would be something else.

Joel that is a good choice with Mike Iconelli. I would go anywhere to fish. But I'm pretty sure if I had to go out fishing with any Pro I would gladly take up that offer.

Joel, good one...I have already answered, but i too would like to see a pro fish at a local state park lake, all you can get on it with, is their 12 foot jon boat.

KVD on my home lake-Claytor Lake a deep lake with the New River feeding, great smallmouth action on the river and somewhat on the lake. But I would to stay the lake and fish for largemouth.

I would also like to fish with Mark Zona anywhere. I'm not kidding the man can fish.

I'll go outside the box and say my choice would be Mark Zona,......he would be the perfect mix of fishing knowledge and just enough off center to make for a VERY entertaining day on the water!! Any lake would be fine...I just want to see moving water again!!!
