Default Wolf Pack Bass'n II with a big correction

Yesterdays outting was very much like the one I had 3 weeks ago which I described in my previous post titled Wolf Pack Bassin. I caught 40 - 50 bass yesterday, with most averaging around 12-15 inches. Caught a few around the 3-4 pound range. In my last post, I described how they would only hit my bone colored popper. Well, I purchased a new XCaliber 3" Zell Pop and they were hitting that yesterday good. My biggest bass came off that lure. However, 3 weeks ago they wouldn't hit a fluke style bait at all. Yesterday however they were allllll over the soft jerk bait! I use the Strike King KVD Caffeen Shad 5 inch in the baby bass color. T rigged and weightless, I was hooking up on those bass all day on the Caffeen Shad! I nearly went through an entire bag! Those bass were once again attacking those school of baitfish at the surface. All you had to do was wait untill it started and then throw into the feeding frenzy. It's a crazy site seeing what looks like dozens of bass flying out of the water chasing their prey. Many people I talked to were not fishing for them and told me they were dogfish jumping in the lake. Thats cool with me, hehehe. Next time I'm also going to try tossing a white Booya swim jig with a white grub trailor just to see what happens. BUT here is my big correction. I've been telling you guys for years there are no shad in my area lakes. Well, thats no longer the case. At least with the lake I was fishing the past two outtings. The bass were regurgitating small shad when I had them on the hook. I was shocked. I don't know how or when the shad were introduced into the lake but it's made a big difference in the bass as far as their physical makeup and their behavior. I'll talk about this in another post.
