Default Ike on tour?

Hey guys, I have not gotten around to to watching bass masters in a LLOONNGG time. It seem soccer is always on or the changed the date and time and did not tell me about it! But I have seen Ike fishing at all.

I've been wondering what rods and reels he's using. I know Garcia, but which REVO, and which rod? Are have y'all seen him use the verdict rods? Maybe a new reel, like a prototype Ike reel maybe?

Thanks for any info!

All of the rods I've seen him use have been white, so I assume he's using the Veritas. Haven't been able to make out any of the reels. With Skeet leaving Abu and finding another reel sponsor, I would suspect Ike will have a signature series here soon.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5BPE...layer_embedded There's the link boss. Granted he doesnt give much away, but it's a 2010 premier on that particular veritas. More or less it was the Abu party line. I think this particular premier is supposed to be in a 7.1 instead of the 6.4.

Sweet, than TN, found the video too!

I'm gonna guess he's gonna be using a Verdict rather than a Veritas when it does come out.

Ike had a line of signature rod when he was still with Daiwa. However, they dropped him earlier this year, for a reason unknown to us. There have been rumors it was because he refused to use his signature line of rods and favored the Steez and Light & Tough rods. Others say it's because Daiwa is downsizing, and frankly, they didn't want to pay him so much. My guess would be the second one.

Ike is now with Abu Garcia and doesn't not have any signature rods or reels as of yet. Most are expecting a new Ike signature reel from Abu at ICAST, since Skeet Reese is leaving. And I doubt they'll bring out an Ike sig. rod because of all their other new rods that recently hit the market and that will after Icast.
