Default can anyone tell me what this wire might be?

85 merc 150 it's on the right side just below the top sparkpluge.
think its a high temp alarme? tryed to trace it but could not find other end in the boat, and thats were it goes from motor to in boat somewere looks like its shorting out any help would be nice (sorry for so many questions but this is my first boat with more than a trolling motor on it and im goen to a book on it when i can aford it )

Through tha harness to tha warning horn usually in tha control box or somewhere under tha dash. If it was goin' ta ground you would know exactly where it goes. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! .........T
