lots of dead shad
took the boat for a little fishing since it has warmed up so nicely here, while fishing i couldnt help but notice all of the dead shad floating by..2-3 every 5 foot or so. mostly within the 1 1/2" to 3" range. Anyone have any idea why? the water was 52 degrees and murky. around 74 degrees

Usually they die due to low water temperatures. The bass should be keyed in on the dying shad...time to throw a suspending jerkbait!

They die because of the low temps, a little shad can only takes so much!

thats a type of fish kill same line of kill as a RED TIDE somehow it affects fish, I think it basically chokes them out, depletes them of oxygen and sufficates them if I remember right. |
