Sure, sounds fun! So is it gonna be the biggest fish 'till Ice? You'll have to have a picture of the bass, and the pic of it on a scale with the weight shown, or if you don't have a scale, take measurements of it (length girth), and have it in the pic. Then use an agreed weight calculator to get the weight. All bass count, small mouth, large mouth, spots!
A entries to be posted in this thread. I got a POS camera finally, so I could play too! Sound good?

Sorry I didn't get back to you on that.
I've got a set of rules typed on, as well a map already divided up. They're on our desktop, so I'll try to get them moved over to my laptop today. Another idea we've had is to go by the percentage of your state's (or the state the fish was caught in) record. So if you're state record is 10lbs, and you catch a 5lb fish, it's a 50%. This kind of evens out the playing field. Another thing is, for weights, you MUST use the same source to make it fair. And since everyone can't use the same scale, the only option is the weight formula (length^2 x girth / 1200). So you'd need measurements (with pictures) of girth and length. Anyone should be able to spend a couple dollars on a soft tape measure used for sewing clothes. BB

I still have the spreadsheet from the last time we discussed this. For the spreadsheet, you just have to type in the length and girth. It will then calculate the weight and also compare it to the state record. The spreadsheet I made has LM and SM listed.
As a guy with a state record in excess of 20 lbs the plan sucks, but it does even the playing field...
