Hello Everybody,

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy places, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Well it is really cold and you have to bundle up but it does not seem to effect the Bass and redfish that much at Lake Fairfield. With water temps. running from upper 50,s to low 70,s depending how close to the warm water discharge, you fish.

Bass are good up to 8.5 lbs. The 8 + lber. came on a Texas rigged creature bait in watermelon. Different patterns are working right now. The Texas rigged creature baits such as Nichols and Zoom are great and will continue through this pre-spawn and spawning season. Females are getting heavy with eggs right now and are staging off banks on nearest cover or break line. Also Points are holding lots of buck Bass with occassional Female.

Carolina rigged french fries or creature baits have been catching good Bass up to 6 lbs. Good colors are the same Watermelon Red, Watermelon Purple, & Watermelon Candy.

Redfish are being caught on cut shad fished on bottom and off deeper points in 20-25 feet. Lots of 20-25 inch fish with an occassiional 10 - 20 lber. Reds have been caught on artificial baits as well such as carolina rigged same baits as Bass, crankbaits in firetiger and rattle traps in chrome blue back and firetiger.

Bass will continue to stage till they spread out throught the reeds that cover the banks and spawn.

Don\\\'t forget the fishing to Lake Fairfield will be closed from December 30th through January 4 th for a special deer hunt. Then will remained open until the next special hunt that comes at the end of 2008.
