Default Boat Question ?

I just got my new boat it is a 2000 Bass Tracker 16.5 ft long ... i have a gas motor 40hp but, i cant use it on the resivoirs, i plan to hook up 2 40lb thrust trolling motors on the back plus the one in the front will that be enough juice ?

Mojo, I think that would be overlkill. I've got a 17-6 Nitro that came with a 43 lb thrust TM. On an electrics only lake it had no trouble fishing that entire lake-probably around 400 acres-on that 12 V motor. You shouldn't have a problem just using the one TM-your tracker is a lot lighter than my Nitro. I would recommend getting an extra trolling motor battery.

I have the same boat, but newer. I use a 46 lb tm on the bow, 12 v, and have a 3 hp trnasom mount. I will be using that to scoot around the lake, and use the bow mount when i get to my spot. Also have a second deepcycle for the bow mount. You wont regret it. Good luck.
