Your blades either aren't well tuned or they aren't any good. If you want one that comes up fast, try a prop blade style.

Start reeling the instant the bait hits the water. The quicker you start reeling the faster it comes to the surface.

I would agree with the others, make sure the blades are good but most of all I start to reel it in just before it hits the water. As far the the walmart spinner baits go is I have cought fish on them before.

I love the one dollar spinnerbaits at walmart!! I throw them into ANYTHING and I dont feel bad if I loss it. They catch fish too!! lol. I got 5 bass on a yellow walmart spinnerbait this weekend. One was 3 pounds and another was 2 1/2. Good fish. They bend really easy but you can just bend them back and they work fine.

those buck a spinnerbaits are good for the price, plus they come in handy when you need spare parts for your more expensive spinnerbaits, like skirts, swivels, blades..etc

what about the doller buzz baits and do the more expensive buzz and spinner baits catch more fish because i hate spinnerbaits and i was woundering if it is because those doller ones dont catch as much fish because those are the only ones i get i figured they were just as good as the expensive ones

Ya have to be careful on homemade buzzbaits and some spinnerbaits,
they are cheaper in price usually due to lack of quality components..for instance cheap buzzbaits may not have good rivets and other weed guards, which can be frustrating after a few throws. |

Try tuning the buzzbaits by tying them to your car/truck antenna. I've had alot of luck doing it that way. It beats throwing that thing for a few weeks to get in "broke in".

I've used both and had luck with both. But, it will be one of those two that I reach for everytime. I don't have a personal preference between the two.

ironman the strike king buzz baits have a little peice of rubber or something in front of the blade. it helps keep the weeds off the bait. Personally I like the strike king over the boo yah.

an idea: hears a trick i use. spend the money, git a strike king double blade in BLACK with the floaters on it .VERY CAREFULLY remove the floaters a bead and put a revit in place of the bead. i push mine into the foam. VERY CAREFULLY CRIMP THE RIVET TO THE SHAFT AND PUSH THE FOAM ONTO IT, REBEND THE SHAFT TO HOLD THE FLOATS A { WHAT EVER WORD USE USE} THERE YA GO A MODIFIED GARUNTTEED sure fire buzz bait . also use heavy line,17+ and glue your knot add a trailer hook a go fish. ihave been known to put the trailer hook upside down, unless your in weeds. hope this helps. j

Do the buzzbaits that you use lay over as you fish them ?
If they do get some Boogerman buzzbaits. They may be hard to find but they stay true.
