i hope ya had it hooked up to a hose?? thats all that old varnished gas burning out of the hoses.. now me when i fired up my 71 johnson i ran it for 3 hours on the muffs it smoked like a freight train and the neighbors called 911 and reported a fire...lol.. i hate my neighbors..but with my old moter it had not been started in 10 years..

25 cents a gallon.....hhhmmmmm that would be in the year of 1971 my friend. i remember cuz my grandfather had a gorcery store and gass station, great-granddad pumped gas, us kids helped him. also have apicture of us in front showing the price of gas at that time.
