Default yes!! about time...

bill lewis the father of rat l traps has FINALLY decided to paint his lipless wonder's to true shad colors.. though i use the black backed ones -mostly strike kings-they have not been available in a true shad color.. when bill lewis chooses a color -and one that is WAY overdue- other lipless bait companys will start painting theres in a shad color.. man am i over joyed..

haveing drooled my way through the new tackle catalog i have only seen a couple of things i may buy. and a couple of things i will buy.. i may even try them rust stop hook wraps from owner. the are supose to stop rust from being on the hook point. sweet if it works...though a lil birdy has told me the truck antennee that looks like a rod and reel. is in the works.. i must really purchase a new 3700 bag as the strap anchors went bye bye this last weekend..

so what is on your "got to get" list..

I need to up my soft plastic game. Been shying away from it lately with my hard stuff. Also if anyone is cleaning out their tackle boxes and wants to give some stuff away I'm open.

I'm shopping for some new med-heavy rods, another medium rod, some more good cranks(I rode the baby 1- all year), a bigger tackle box where I can organize things better, and then the usuals..hooks, soft plastics, line, weights, yada yada yada

My goal for next year is to really buckle down on the jig and the tube...after that I'll feel like a much more complete fisherman as far as lures go.

Don't use Rat-l- Traps much these days. I've gone to (I think) is a better lipless bait. I've had days (recently) where we were on schoolies and I was catching alot of fish, and the other guys just had a couple strikes. They were using Rat-l-Traps. If you want a hint of what I changed to, well lets just say LV.....

Well Bass Pro is building a new place here in the kc. metro area. Its just about 5 minutes from my house...so I'm gonna save my money and wait untill it opens in the fall of 2006 and spend about $5000.00 there. Unless I win the lottery...then I'll spend $50,000 there instead...not including a boat. I might even buy a bottle of scent stuff, but I doubt it since they don't make any anymore that I like. This place is going to dwarf the one they have in springfield.

I hope its better than the Auburn, NY store near me.It really sucks, they have got everything, but a good selection of bassin gear there.I think its a joke they called it Bass pro shop.Should have named it Redhead, or whatever their other line of store is. P N J
