Default bait monkey bit today

went to a private tackle sale today..senkos $3 a bag...st croix rods(didn't buy)$60....lucky craft baits $10ea. ...megabass baits $15 ea...didn't buy any of those either...bought some 11/0 owner hooks,$1.50 a pack..must of had 200-300 bags of senkos there...bought 11 bags of senkos,,owner treble hooks,$1.50 a pack..tungsten fla.rig weights..$3.00 a pack..wish i had a few hundred bucks to spend..only spent about $50. got away cheap.

we had an unbeleiveable deal like that every thing in the store was 70% of because of smoke damage to the packages do to a fire in a store beside the bait shop most of the stuff was a buck a pack

went to a fishing and sports show yesterday. I bought 5 sponnerbaits for $1 each. And a couple bags of plastics for $1 each. They had some crankbaits and topwaters and stuff like that but i didnt need any of those.

where was it? i woulda bought the st.croix and the megabass... my dads pretty ticked, he didnt know it would cost more than1400 for the whole deal

Sounds like you won this round, Tom .

Cranky, I'd see if your dad would renegotiate for a dollar amount you could use how you want to. That way you could get yourself several combos rather than one expensive one. As Dodge said, an $800 rig sinks as fast as a $150. I haven't paid more than $100 for a rod or reel and don't plan to-that's why I have a combo for just about every type bait I use.
