Well, it's a start...
We took the boat out for the first time this year, as we went trolling for walleye for a couple hours this weekend. We didn't catch any walleye, but we did land 6 bass. My fishing buddy caught 3 that were all between 2 and 2.5 pounds. I caught 2 and my wife caught 1, all of which were under 2 pounds.
My wife and I also did some crappie fishing from our dock for about 90 minutes on Saturday night. I had one real nice hit while retrieving a crappie jig and had it hooked up for a little bit. It obviously wasn't a crappie, and even though I never saw it, I'm guessing pike. About 5 minutes after that, my wife landed this nice pike - 29.25" and 5lb 6oz - not bad for the lightweight rod and 4-lb test line she was using! |

Thats a great way to start the year buddy! I bet your wife had the time of her life bringing in that nice pike. They are a blast to catch! One year on a fishin trip to MN we discovered the only thing the pike wanted to hit was little 1/8 oz yellow twister beetle spins we were using for panfish. The pike were tearing them up that year!
