P.M. Question
Alright I've had a couple of PMs and when I respond then click send I get a screen that says I have to wait 60 seconds before trying again. I try again and get the same message over and over. What am I doing wrong.
WTL I responded to yours yesterday. I replied did you get it? |

Hey IL.bassin,
You must wait a minimum of 60 seconds after sending a Private Message to send another one. In other words, you cannot send a PM to person A, then 10 seconds later send a PM to person B. You must wait 60 seconds between PM's. Why is this? It is to prevent spammers from coming on the forums and sending a Private message one right after another to all our members. It allows us to have a "throttle-type" control over the flow of PM's. So if you get this error again saying you must wait 60 seconds... count to 60 and you should be good to go! If you have any further questions/problems.. let us know. Thanks. Kevin

I blame the "need a rolex" spammers, and, oh yea, those spammers that mispell offers from mortgage companies or drug co. rofl

That certainly isn't right. Give me a minute to look into things and I'll be back with an answer. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey IL,
The only thing I can suggest to try is to clear your browser cache/cookies. We have had a problem like this in the past, and the member had to do this to get their PM's to work. Sometimes your browser can corrupt the files in between and things go awry. Give it a shot and let me know if it works. If not, we'll troubleshoot further.

Kevin I cleared everything out and it didn't work.
I went ahead and made another profile tried the PM and it worked just fine. If you want me to go ahead and use the new profile no problem. |

** LOOK AT POST BELOW FIRST **
Sorry that didn't work. Here is what you can do, since the new username you registered is working with the PM's. 1. Tell me what the new username you registered is. 2. I will merge all your posts and info over to this new username. 3. Test it again to make sure your PM's still work. 4. If so, I will delete IL.bassin, and have you register it again. 5. Finally, I will merge that same stuff (posts, profile info, etc) over to IL.bassin. So essentially through all of this... you have the same IL.bassin username and records but with working PM's. Sorry I don't have an easier solution. But it's all I can think of for a fool proof fix. Let me know.

Hey IL.Bassin....
I think I may have found another solution to your problem. I have already implemented it.. so if you could test your PM's once more... they should work. If not... the solution above will be the answer. Let me know.
