Nofear, while I agree this is weird, if you ever meet Ike in person you will love him. He is a great person and his love for kids is unreal.

I'm sure Mike is a nice guy. And I know he's a fish catching machine. I just can't stand watching his little outbursts. It's very immature. I would expect a pro to act like he's caught a bass before and he expects to catch another. If you acted like that at work, they'd fire your ^%$.

I thought the same thing. He is to bass fishing, what a Billy Madison would be to golf. Myself, I like to see the raw side of his emotion. If you saw me on stage lifting the AOY or a classic trophy, I would need a box of Kleenex and toilet with a mega roll spiked on the side or the heavy duty Depends with the built in suspenders. And even though he might be immature, he has a heavy fan base and I imagine his face and antics have sold more than a fair share of the products he pushes. Maybe the sport doesn't need him, but I bet I would watch golf if a player with his attitude was playing. Not debating with you NFE, just my .02.

Agree
I agree 100% and I fast forward or mute the TV when he does that. Once in a while is exciting everytime - not so much. Is it just me or does he say everytime he hooks up "It's a giant" and then it turns out to be a 2-3 lbr. O well to each thier own. He can catch a fish and I have meet at the Lake Mead tourn a few years ago.
