Talking Steelhead Fishing 11-24-07

Well, we left pur house around 1:30 Friday afternoon. Once we got to the hotel, my dad realized he forgot his sweatshirt, so we went to Sears to see if they had one and we ended up at Dunhams Sports. Found a good one. When we got back tot he hotel, me dad realized he forgot his heavy coat.

Anyways when 5:00 rolled around the next morning, we got ready a nd met our guide in the Hotel lobby. He told us that since the recent rain has pushed the water in the Ohio rivers up to much to fish, we'd be starting the day in PA. After paying over $20 each for ONE DAY liscenses, we headed to the River. We fished Elk Creek until about 11:00 that morning. I caught the only two fish there.

He was about 23". We Didn't get real accurate measurements or any weight because we just wanted tot get the fish back in the water.
The second one 25" (My biggest for the day):

After trying a couple mroe spots, we packed up and headed back to Ohio ot the Ashtabula River. Where my dad caught the first two. The first was 17" and the second was 25" (the second was also the only one we kept.)

After that I caught one more, then my dad caught the last one of the day. All four where caught at the same spot.

This was a Picture my dad took of me while our guide moved a little farther up river to check things out. I was surprised cause I had to show him how to take the pictures of the fish, and he took this by himself.

Over all we had a good day and caught 6. We had 10 or 11 fish on total, but lost 4 or 5 of them. The guide should be sending us some more pictures that he took.

P.S. Sorry the pictures are so big. I was lucky that they even showed up instead of those stupid little red X's.
