Default Silver Buddy Fishing

My 12 year old son & I went to Lake Orange in Orange Cty. Va on Sat....
Very chilly, overcast skies in the AM with gusting winds & sunshine in the afternoon. Water Temp. 40*.
I had been telling him about fishing a Silver Buddy, so he says teach me... we tie them on & I coach him on letting it hit the bottom... watching his line go slack & then pulsing the rod tip to get the slight rip to get it 6-8" off the bottom while keeping his line taught on the fall... well, he got it!!! I had already caught 4-5 when he starts raking them in .... he caught 10 bass & crappie to my 8..
once he got even with me he says... I wish we were fishing a tournament.
..I'd win your money he says ... I responded.. be careful remember whose silver buddy your using...lol we had great fun!

Friend of mine fished a pond a couple counties to the east of you yesterday and he caught a couple bass in the 2 to 2.5lb range on the same bait. Water was 39 degrees and he was catching them in 28'.

Great bait in the spring time but also all year long.

Make sure you visit the Orange County High School Outdoor show next weekend!!!! 139 booths filled with hunting and fishing gear. Should be a great show.

I'm fishing a custom made one.... 1/2 & 5/8... but it's basically a silver buddy. I have silver, gold & black ...have most of my success with silver & gold.
They are still available...I've seen them in the tackle shops. Sam
