My first SM
actually 2. Was only out for less than 2 hours but I got 2 LM and these 2 pigs!
My first SM bass, what a rush. I only had on 6# line with a shaky head worm. and the second, smaller one: Also got me a new rig to tow the boat: No options, but the 5.3 engine. Only 2wd but rated at 21 MPG so that works for me! Still can't beat the VW TDI. |

Go catch that pig again - measure length and girth and get the appropriate picture - Then enter that lunker in the forum tournament! See the message board section for details! By the way Congrats.... i'm jealous!

I was thinking that the whole time he was on the boat. I don't have a tape measure, just that Golden Rule since that is what they use in catch and release tournaments up here. I'm going to get a tape and keep with me in the future!

My club went back to that lake today. It rained like a summer afternoon in Florida, if ya know what I mean. We fished through it and caught a good number of both LM and SM bass on everything from Senkos, shaky head, pointers, and even a big (about 4 lb) LM on MMIB grandad's noodle. I bought some last year and never tried them until now, the "noodles" have a great action in the water! Just make sure to use a swivel ahead of them.
In the end my partner and I had over 20 fish, better than 12 of them keepers (14"). One other boat had 40+, but many of theirs were smaller. Overall a great day on a lake that has kicked my butt in the past with so many fish. |
