Timonum Show Part 2
This was a bass only show 23 years ago and morphed in to mostly a boat show now. But there was some new, and tested bass stuff that was off the hook. Pro-techs Lin Bell turned me on to some new baits. The coolest was the Basirisky frog. Straight from Japan. This one hooked the bait monkey in me to the tune of 16 bucks each. Bought four..He also had some new Sammys, X Baits and my favorite the Splash It II . Now about 200 bucks on my research card will need to be paid off.
On the soft bait line Wacko had it's paco craw on the front line.. Sweet bait and several guides used them last year with incredible success. HawgHunter showed off its rib craw and Barlow had its Ya-Mama bait just like the Wacko paca craw but bigger claws.. Wacko also had there version of the horny toad out and about. Not impressed (too stiff). Oh almost forgot I found out why the bead is used on a horny toad.. In duck weed the bead deflects grass that would normally slide the toad down the hook and allow the bait to stay after the fish hits it.. I loose a toad a fish and will have to try it.. Thats it for now Capt Mike
